Park Updates from the Board:

Greetings to all Twin Oaks Property Owners! The Board would like to keep you up-to-date on what is going to be happening in the park after our summer farewell on Labor Day weekend. Construction plans at the front: First Up - We have a tentative date of Tuesday, September 15, 2026 to trench and lay network and phone lines for the Guard Shack. This will greatly improve communication issues we’ve been having. This trench will be covered the same day after the conduit is laid. But since it will go across from the Office to Guard Shack, you may need to go around by using the exit and entrance lanes of the park. Once the cables are ran, we will be configuring all of the connections/jacks/etc so that the Guard Shack has strong wifi and phone service. Secondly, the West/Entrance side of the Guard Shack will be dug to prepare for forming a gate pedestal box and keypad post. Once these are dug, additional conduit will be laid, and the space will be formed and filled with concrete. It could take a couple more days for these tasks to be completed on the Entrance side. We will detour you to the Exit side while work is being done at the Entrance. This moves us from phase 1 of planning and materials gathering into phase 2 construction of the gate! A little more about gates – after the construction is complete, we’ll move to Phase 3 – Configuration and Testing, where we anticipate we’ll spend a bit of time. We will be standardizing policies, setting up the community PIN codes, the postal gate access box (they get a special entry pad of their own), the Emergency dispatcher will have our code, as well as our regular vendors. Before we move into Phase 4 – Go Live – We will mail each property owner their PIN, the gate policies, and FAQs. We will be available to you along the way to help make this as seamless as possible. The Guard Shack staff will remain available for making payments, updating PINs, assisting with questions, and selling community goods. On another note – Who likes to paint?! Several of us ladies want to continue work on Bathhouse No. 2 with painting the ceiling and walls in each bathroom. Wayne has the floors looking amazing, and we want to continue this project. This “paint party” is in the making for a few weeks down the road when the weather breaks. An exact date will be forthcoming. Please email office@twinoaksharbor.com if you’d like to help plan. We hope to see you at the Labor Day Summer Farewell Picnic!
